MELODY Melody is the owner/producer of Emerald Rain Bellydance Co. with 18 years of experience in the ancient art of Middle Eastern dance. She has studied under some of the most well known international bellydancers of the last 30 years and has devoted a large amount of her life to the study and performance of this art form. A Multi-award winning bellydancer herself, she not only coaches award winning dancers but also still competes on a national and international level, as well as judges other competitions around the US and Canada. She has been featured in newspapers up and down the west coast of the US along with being seen on TV and radio appearances. Her excellent balance and grace have earned her a reputation as one of the best sword dancers on the west coast! Some of her other favorite 'dance partners' include; fire, 4' long silk fans, shamadan, baskets, canes, water goblets and much more. When not traveling giving lectures, workshops and performances, Melody can be found at her studio in Everett, WA. where she teaches weekly classes, private lessons and workshops. She is also the troupe director for Emerald Rain, who can be seen in performances at festivals, fairs, parades, conventions and other functions up and down the west coast of the US and Canada.
