August 15 ~ Coffee, Tea or Emerald Rain!!! 7:00pm at our favorite coffee shop and bookstore A Gathering Grove. Near the corner of Hewitt Ave. and Oakes St. Just kitty-corner from the Comcast Areana (Everett Events Center), northwest corner. August 29 ~ Emerald Rain will be in Ellensburg, WA. to help Retro Raqs Belly Dance raise money for ASPEN, a domestic violence support network in the Ellensburg community. So join Emerald Rain and Retro Raqs Belly Dance at the Ellensburg Farmer's Market at 11:00am... it's for a wonderful cause! For more info please go to our links page and click on Retro Raqs. October 10 ~ "The Art of the Sword", workshop with Melody in Granite Falls, WA. 2:00pm at 122 Cascade Ave. And then at 7:00 pm please join her for "A Night in Morocco" at the same location!!! October 30 ~ Melody will be performing at "Nuns Who Go Bump In The Night". This is a charity even similar to the Get Home Alive event. It will be held at Cafe Metropolita (1701 E. Olive Way Seattle, WA.) Show time at 8:30. The $3 cover charge goes for a worthy cause, please come out to support it!!! October 31 ~ Gilana will be sponsoring Electic Oasis Spooktacular along with Halima in Tacoma, WA. Workshop teachers will include Melody, Magidah of Portland, OR. and Rocksteady Eddie of Seattle, WA. November 14 & 15 ~ Saqra's Competition and Showcase in Hillsboro, OR. Melody will be teaching a workshop on the art of ballance as well as performing with many well known dancers from up and down the west coast.
